At Mural, we focused on educating our audience by co-hosting webinars with experts who shared their methods and firsthand experiences. I often lead the end-to-end execution of many of Mural's webinars, ensuring seamless production, engagement, and post-event content distribution. (I also had the opportunity to step in front of the camera and co-host several webinars, which I've showcased below 🤩). My general responsibilities pertaining to webinars included:
Marketing & Promotion: Develop and manage the entire marketing funnel, including social media promotion, ad campaigns, email invitations, landing page sign-ups, and follow-up communication.
Marketing & Promotion: Develop and manage the entire marketing funnel, including social media promotion, ad campaigns, email invitations, landing page sign-ups, and follow-up communication.
Creative Development: Design and produce visual assets for ads, social media, emails, and landing pages to maintain brand consistency and audience appeal.
Presentation & Content Creation: Build engaging presentation decks, murals, and templates to support speakers and enhance the webinar experience.
Technical & On-Site Support: Oversee on-site filming setup when needed, ensuring high-quality production.
Live Event Management: Moderate live chats with hundreds to thousands of attendees, facilitating engagement and troubleshooting issues in real time.
Interactive Facilitation: Direct and navigate mural activities as required to enhance audience participation.
Post-Webinar Content: Draft recap articles, create supporting visuals, and publish content to our blog to extend the webinar’s reach.
This role required a combination of strategic marketing, creative design, live event management, and audience engagement to deliver high-impact webinars that drive brand awareness and lead generation. These webinars were some of the most fun and rewarding adventures during my time at Mural - and I'm always eager to chat more about them!

In addition to managing and hosting webinars for Mural, I've enjoyed being engaged in the tech/design industry and have had the honor of speaking at conferences and in-person events, facilitating workshops at Boston Service Design Week and SF Design Week, and sharing my insights in various interviews. EVENT: Mural x UserTesting Webinar
SPEAKERS: Maura Hoven (UserTesting)
HOST: David Chin (Mural)
In this webinar, Maura Hoven (Director of Product Design) shared the methods she applies to her mostly-remote team of designers, engineers and researchers at UserTesting so they can regularly flex their design muscles - getting everyone involved, on board, and making design a habit that fits alongside their day-to-day obligations. As a remote team manager and design practitioner myself, I was thrilled to host this webinar since I was able to offer an additional level of insight and color to the conversation. And with a keen understanding of our customer needs, I could contribute in a way that especially resonated.

EVENT: Workshop
FACILITATOR: David Chin (CCA)
HOST: California College of the Arts (CCA)
I had the honor to facilitate a half-day workshop for 30+ design students at CCA around the topic How might we create a leadership program in urban areas to pave the way for future success, while retaining peoples' authentic selves? The hypothesis was that people from historically underserved communities often have to cloak bits of their personality/values as they experience success throughout their career journey. This workshop challenged participants to use human-centered and design thinking methodologies to:
Gain empathy for the target users
Generate ideas & potential solutions
Build lo-fidelity, testable prototypes

EVENT: Interview
SPEAKERS: David Chin (Mural)
HOST: California College of the Arts (CCA)
California College of the Arts' innovative MBA in Design Strategy (DMBA) program with a hybrid model where students are together in-person 25% and remote 75%. Mural is a critical platform for such collaboration, as it allows teams to collaborate remotely and is suited for the design thinking methodologies that are fundamental to the DMBA program. I became a Mural power user and evangelist as a DMBA student and soon joined Mural for a design residency (and launching point of a 7+ year career at Mural). Of course I was eager to share my thoughts on the DMBA x Mural partnership.
